Safety & Lawful Participation

Safety comes first in everything Persian FSS does.

Persian FSS is an educational and community organization. We do not organize live-fire events ourselves, and we are not a substitute for qualified instructors, your local range's rules, or the laws of your country.

Core Principles

  • Always follow the four universal firearm safety rules and your Range Officer's instructions.
  • Never handle a firearm or ammunition except where and how local law and range rules permit.
  • Complete appropriate safety training before participating in any live-fire activity.
  • Report unsafe behavior to a Range Officer or match official immediately.

Lawful Participation

Firearm ownership, use, and competition are subject to the laws, licensing, and age requirements of your country and region. Persian FSS content is informational only and does not constitute legal advice or authorization to acquire, modify, or use any firearm. Participants are solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws.

Educational Scope

Educational content on this site explains concepts, terminology, and IPSC rules. It is not a certification, a substitute for qualified in-person instruction, or an official curriculum unless explicitly stated.

Before You Attend a Live Event

If you're new to practical shooting, a few basic preparations go a long way before your first live-fire session or match. Confirm the specific range's own rules and any required paperwork in advance, since these vary by club, region, and country and are not something Persian FSS can standardize for you.

Bring your own eye and ear protection rather than assuming it will be provided, arrive with any firearm unloaded and safely cased in accordance with local law, and don't hesitate to ask a Range Officer or experienced member to walk you through anything unfamiliar — asking questions is expected and welcomed, not a sign of inexperience to hide.
